SLEUTH
In 2008 Michael Praed toured the country in Anthony Shaffer's wonderful play "Sleuth", also starring Simon MacCorkindale.
One of the greatest ever stage thrillers, Sleuth ran for a total of twelve years in London and New York, winning the Tony Award for Best play and inspiring the hugely successful film starring Laurence Olivier and Michael Caine. Sleuth made a much anticipated return to the stage with Michael and Simon and thrilled audiences up and down the country.
A young man arrives at the impressive home of a famous mystery writer, only to be unwittingly drawn into a tangled web of intrigue and gamesmanship where nothing is quite what it seems!
This was a highly exciting play in which anything could - and often did - happen! It was cast perfectly, with an amazing chemistry on stage that took the audience through a thrilling rollercoaster of an evening. Simon captured the role of Andrew superbly, while Michael's strong skills as both a dramatic and comedy actor gave the role of Milo a fantastic edge, leading the audience from scenes of tension and anxiety to moments of comedic brilliance and hilarity in one genius move.
The role of Milo soon became a strong favourite for those who follow Michael's work and the play is still now missed by many.
A fantastic play with two outstanding actors; Sleuth was exciting and a real joy to see.
